COPE’s vocational training programme empowers women by teaching a life-long skill that positively impacts their livelihoods. A 3-month sewing machine course from beginner level with the option of continuing to advanced level is offered. Such courses are usually not accessible to the most deprived women due to the cost implication. To mark successful completion of the sewing course, each woman receives a certificate and a sewing machine along with all essential resources needed to start earning a living from sewing.
